We use 925 Sterling silver, and assure the highest quality silver that lasts.

Gold

We use 9ct gold in our collection and 14ct and 18ct on request.

Brass 

We use fine Italian Brass, that has been made specifically for jewellery use. we do not plate or coat our brass unless indicated as gold plated. Our brass is highly polished. A natural patina will develop over time, giving it a matte finish and darkening the tone of your brass jewellery. If you have high sulphite levels in your skin or use lotions with high sulphur content it can affect the colour of the brass. If you would like to restore the polished finish you can easily do so with a soft micro fibre cloth and a dab of generic brass cleaner or a jewellery polishing cloth Gold Plated. We use a thick 14ct thick micron plating to ensure that our plating is durable and long-lasting, waterproof and tarnish resistant.

For optimal care of all jewellery, we recommend taking it off when you sleep, to protect the chain, coil it when it's off, wipe down your charms with your ORA jewellery polishing cloth, that we give to you with each purchase and store in your jewellery pouch or an airtight container. It is good to wipe down your jewellery regularly to avoid a build-up of residue from, lotions, sweat, etc. Be mindful that these charms are gold plated, we use thick, durable gold plating, for longevity, and avoid abrasive materials and strong chemicals and radiators. Our charm balls and the ball at the end of the slider chain have a fine layer of silicone inside of them, to preserve the silicone we recommend that you use the lobster clasp and link at the end of the chain, and only use the ball and pin at the end of the chain when adding and removing the charms. Do not dip in or use any jewellery cleaner on this product, as it could damage the gold plating. Only use a jewellery polishing cloth to wipe it down.

Exchanges & Returns

We want you to love your jewellery, but if it’s not quite right, we offer exchanges within 14 days of delivery. If more than 14 days have passed, we won’t be able to process an exchange.

Exchange Requirements

Items must be unworn, in perfect condition, and in their original packaging.

Custom, customised, or engraved pieces are made just for you and cannot be exchanged.

Sale items are final sale and not eligible for exchange.

We do not offer refunds—only exchanges.

How to Return

Email us first at hello@orajewellery.com for the return address—we need to know your package is on the way.

Include your order number and contact details inside the package.

Return shipping is your responsibility. We recommend using a tracked shipping method to ensure safe delivery.

If Something is Wrong

If your jewellery arrives damaged, we’re here to help. Email us within 7 days with clear photos, and we’ll resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

Our 90-Day Shine Promise

All ORA gold-plated pieces purchased from March 2025 onward come with a 90-day warranty. If your jewellery tarnishes or fades within that time, we’ll re-plate it for free. Jewellery Warranty & Care

24-Month Warranty for Manufacturing Defects

We take pride in our craftsmanship and offer a 24-month warranty from the date of purchase against manufacturing defects for jewellery purchased from March 2025 onward and bought directly from our online store.

This warranty covers:

Structural issues with the metalwork

Manufacturing defects

What’s Not Covered

Normal wear and tear, including fading or tarnishing of gold plating

Accidental damage, breakage, or improper care

Scratches or bending from impact

Exposure to harsh chemicals such as perfume, lotions, or chlorine

How to Request a Warranty Assessment

If you believe your item has a manufacturing defect, please contact us at hello@orajewellery.com with your order number and clear photos of the issue. Our team will assess your piece and offer a repair, replacement, or store credit where applicable.

For warranty requests made after 30 days from the date of purchase, our quality team will evaluate the case. If the conditions to proceed with the warranty are met, we will initiate a replacement of the jewellery. If a replacement is not possible, we will issue a gift card for the value of the damaged jewellery.

Once your parcel has been collected by the courier you will receive the
tracking number and estimated delivery date via email.

Our standard shipping lead-time is 2-4 days.

We do offer express shipping for R150, with delivery in 24hrs.
